wxPerl

wxPerl is an extension module allowing the creation of GUI (Graphical User Interface) applications from Perl it is built as a wrapper for the awesome wxWidgets C++ GUI toolkit.

wxWidgets is a C++ library that lets developers create applications for Windows, OS X, Linux and UNIX on 32-bit and 64-bit architectures as well as several mobile platforms including Windows Mobile, iPhone SDK and embedded GTK+. The language bindings for perl are provided by the wxPerl distribution created by Mattia Barbon. Unlike other cross-platform toolkits, wxWidgets gives its applications a truly native look and feel because it uses the platform's native API rather than emulating the GUI. It's also extensive, free, open-source and mature.

This wxPerl Binary Oasis site's purpose is to provide binary distributions of wxPerl and information on their use. wxPerl itself has its own home at http://wxperl.sourceforge.net.

The cross platform C++ development library, wxWidgets, that wxPerl is built upon also has its own home at http://www.wxwidgets.org
